VIDEO: LeBron calls chase-down block on Iguodala biggest play of his career

In a wide-ranging interview with Alyson Shontell of Business Insiders, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar forward LeBron James talked about his heroic chase-down block on Golden State Warriors wing Andre Iguodala in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, a play that (along with Kyrie Irving’s cold-blooded three-pointer) tilted the series-deciding game in the Cavs’ favor.

Watch below as James divulges his thoughts on the Herculean-like defensive play.

A part of me thinks the recency effect has James viewing that play through a skewed scope, but when you recognize the quality of the opponent, and magnitude of the game just as James stated, then you can began to see why he has it ranked number one on his all-time career plays.

It not only birthed it a winner for the championship-deprived City of Cleveland, but it exercised the Finals demons that sculpted themselves in 2015 when James was forced to clash with Curry and his clan without the likes of Kevin Love and Irving, both of whom were sidelined due to injury.

As James’ career progresses and these discussions about his numerous brilliant plays continues, I wonder if anything will supplant what has become known as “The Block.”
