It is the off-season for the NBA and with the NFL in full-swing it can be hard to be passionate about basketball just yet. However, that is what we are here for, to deliver and bring about excitement for the Lakers even when they are not on the court during the season.

LOS ANGELES, CA – JANUARY 09: Lonzo Ball #2 of the Los Angeles Lakers calls a play during the second half of a game against the Sacramento Kings at Staples Center on January 9, 2018 in Los Angeles, California. Recent news about the Lakers young point guard Lonzo Ball has been a big talking point throughout the Lakers community. The news is that Ball made the decision to remove only part of the meniscus in his knee rather than repairing it fully in an effort to return to the floor more rapidly. Is this smart for Ball to do?

It would be a shame for him to go down with any more injuries throughout his young career and ultimately this could be a decision that goes a long way in figuring that. Right or wrong it is not for us to say, however, we as members of the Laker Nation will not be complaining when we have Ball on the court making plays for us next season.

In other news, an Andrew Bynum sighting has been released, and even better than that, the former Lakers center is attempting an NBA comeback! How does he look to you?

I wouldn’t say he looks too bad. We’re rooting for you, Andrew.

Also, discussed in this podcast was the great interview with ex-Laker player and former head coach Byron Scott with Basketball Society’s own Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson. In that interview, Scott made several claims regarding the new look Lakers and where they stand in regards to the reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors. Given it a listen to hear more of what he had to say.

What happens if LeBron goes down with an injury during the season? Will Brandon Ingram assume that role as a leader and fill the enormous void the King would leave behind. Now in his third year, I would hope so.

More fun topics were brought out in episode two and without further ado, I leave you with another evening inside of the Lakers Lair.
