Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson: Today what we got right now is my boy, Johnny Stephene; otherwise known to his Instagram following as Dribble 2 much. Man, what’s going on dribble?

Johnny “Dribble 2 Much” Stephene: How you doing man? It’s been a long-time man and I’m excited to be on the show and talk about some sports.

Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson: Man, we connected earlier with you about you and this handle life, tell us about handle life.

Johnny “Dribble 2 Much” Stephene:Handle life is just the brand that I grew out of nothing. It’s all about taking what you love and the passion that you have for something and putting two feet into it and believing in it and trying to inspire people in whatever you believe in and I believe in dribbling the ball and handling the ball.

Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson: Well for those of you who are not familiar with dribble too much, handle life, Johnny Stephene, I actually was introduced to you because my brother was like hey you see this guy that’s dribbling all over the place, he crosses this person, I ain’t going to say no names but he crossed that person and I said no and I followed you and connected through mutual guys. Man, you have kids liking you, ball players liking you, you got Kevin Durant. Man, tell me about your journey, tell me how you got started with this whole handle life phenomenon and people knowing you online.

Johnny “Dribble 2 Much” Stephene: Man to be honest, it was just an idea and I was working at Nike at a retail station, that’s not really what I wanted to do but I was inspired by the story and message that Nike was showing their employees before they got hired, and Bill Bowerman and started and developed it through his passion of teaching athletes how to run and how to train to be the fastest at Oregon so I took that idea and I always had ball handling skills and I thought you know what my passion is dribbling the ball, I want to develop something that trains athletes and develop a brand that helps younger athletes get to the next level with their ball handling skills so, therefore I created handle life and I was passionate about it. I quit Nike and followed what I believe in and that was training athletes to be better ball handlers and I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life at that point in time and I always worked on my handles so I just put it both together and I called the brand handle life and from there it was history.

Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson: And you are considered the number one dribbling instructor for NBA players, you’ve worked with Kevin Durant, you’ve worked with Nate Robinson, you’ve worked with the University of Kentucky, and you’ve worked with the Dallas Mavericks. Did I leave anything out?

Johnny “Dribble 2 Much” Stephene: Um, I haven’t worked with Kentucky yet but I definitely have a couple players that I will be working out in the summer, this summer actually, there’s a couple of draft picks but yea you got it right for the most part and it’s a long list of players that are interested in getting their ball handling correct.
