Boston Celtics second-year wing Jayson Tatum is often linked to his idol, Kobe Bryant. Tatum often makes reference to the Laker great as such, and even had a chance to work on his post game with Kobe this past summer.

But make no mistake, every player has an entire cast of influences on their game. Tatum retweeted a tweet about Gilbert Arenas and reminded people that he’s the reason why he wears no. 0.

Arenas, like Tatum, was a deadly scoring threat. “Agent 0” had some explosive seasons with the Washington Wizards in the 2000’s and scored over 11,000 points in his 12-year career.

Other notable names who have worn no. 0 include Russell Westbrook, DeMarcus Cousins, Damian Lillard, Kevin Love, Andre Drummond, Avery Bradley, and Nick Young.

In the first seven games of this season, Tatum is averaging 16 points and eight rebound per game for the Celtics.
