With 10.6 seconds left in the game and the Houston Rockets down one point, they called on their superstar James Harden and boy did he answer. Harden brought the ball up the left side of the court before being met by Andre Iguodala right across half. He drove hard left and hit a turn around, step-back game winner to take Game 3. That made for 35 points for James Harden in addition to his 8 rebounds and 9 assists as the Rockets won 97-96.

That clutch performance made this series a little bit more interesting as the Steph Curry-less Warriors now hold a 2-1 lead. The Rockets came out with a vengeance after getting beat convincingly in the first two games. They went up as much as 17 points in the first half but in usual fashion, Golden State fought their way back. However, they couldn’t overcome Harden and company. The Rockets got good contributions from other guys, such as Donatas Montiejunas who dropped 14 points and 13 rebounds and Dwight Howard who had a solid night with 13 points, 13 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Marreese Speights led all Warriors with 22 points off the bench and Klay Thompson struggled with 17 points on 7-20 shooting. The Houston Rockets will look to feed off this momentum and tie the series on Sunday as they battle again for Game 4 in Houston. The debate is still in the air on whether Steph Curry will return but Coach Steve Kerr stated he will be evaluated over the next two days before they make a decision.
