J.J. Redick had a career night on MLK day with 40 points in their 140-132 overtime win against the Houston Rockets. Everything was clicking for Redick, especially from behind the three point line as he poured in 9 three pointers.  Overall, he was 11-19 from the field and 9-12 from behind the arc which just adds on to a spectacular shooting performance from long range. Although ranked 8th in 3 pointers made this season, Redick is 1st in percentage, shooting an astonishing 50% from deep.

The Los Angeles Clippers desperately needed J.J. to step up with Blake Griffin missing games due to injury. And after last night’s win, the Clippers are now 10-1 without Blake which NO ONE would’ve expected. But last night wasn’t all about Redick. Chris Paul also put in some work, scoring 28 points and dropping 12 dimes. Dwight Howard had a dominant performance that we haven’t seen in quite some time. He put in 36 buckets and cleaned up shop on the glass with 26 total rebounds; 10 of them being offensive but unfortunately it didn’t show up in the win column.
