Yesterday was a wild day for college basketball. For those of you who have been living under a rock, yesterday was the start of the NCAA Tournament (or March Madness). One game that was focused on was the #14 seed Georgia State up against the #3 Baylor. What looked like a sure win for Baylor towards the end of the second half became Georgia State rallying back from a 12-point deficit including the game-winning shot by Junior R.J. Hunter. Which can be viewed here:

Georgia State held Baylor scoreless in the final 2:54 which included three straight turnovers and all lead to R.J. Hunter hitting three-pointers. Baylor finished the game with 21 turnovers. It was a great game because it had everything: great defense, scoring runs, comeback and of course the game-winning shot. R.J. Hunter, who scored a team high 16 points, was not the only highlight from that game. Kevin Ware, who two years ago suffered a gruesome leg injury during his time at Louisville playing against Duke in the Elite Eight, played his first NCAA Tournament game since the injury. Ware scored 4 points, had 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in 28 minutes of action. If GSU can improve their shooting early next game, they have a legit shot to make it to the sweet 16.

Another note to make here is about the future of R.J. Hunter. Although he has not officially declared for the NBA Draft, he is still projected a mid-to-late 1st-round draft pick. He will do great with the nice shooting touch he has but we have to see when the time comes if he can last in the league. If he decides to stay for his senior year, then that will help him develop his game and shooting ability more. But for now, keep an eye on Georgia State, as they look to continue their Cinderella Story. GSU plays tomorrow, March 21st against #6 Xavier.
