It was a big game for Kansas freshman Josh Jackson in a huge 79-73 road victory over No. 4 ranked Kentucky. Jackson finished with 20 points & 10 rebounds.

Jackson did it all in Saturday’s win over Kentucky from sick dunks to showing tremendous effort, great shooting from both inside and outside the perimeter, to overall poise and allowing his game to come to him. Jackson, a Detroit Native, attended Consortium College Prep in Detroit, Michigan during his freshman and sophomore years before moving to California to attend Prolific Prep Academy. As a senior at Prolific Prep, Jackson averaged 26.9 PPG along with 13 RPG.

The No. 1 freshman recruit in the country, Jackson has a lot of potential and he’s handling the pressure thus far very well. So far this season Jackson is growing into a complete basketball player. He seems highly coachable and understands his role. He fits in well with the upperclassman and never shies away from competing. I’m interested to see how things will turn out for Jackson and the Jayhawks down the road before March Madness begins. I’m predicting them to possibly win it all.

Jackson is a projected lottery pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. Continuous games like tonight and growing as an overall player will make that prediction very likely.
