U.S. President Donald Trump and Los Angeles Lakers forward, LeBron James aren’t friends and it doesn’t look like a peace treaty will occur any time soon.

On Saturday morning, Trump ran to Twitter and tweeted:  “Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!”

The Mike comment from Trump was in reference to the ongoing debate on who the greatest player in NBA history is between James and NBA Hall of Famer and 6-time NBA champion, Michael Jordan.

Trump’s tweet came in response to James’ open criticism of Trump in his interview with CNN’s Don Lemon, in which the NBA veteran suggested that the president has used athletics and athletes to divide the country.

“I can’t sit back and say nothing,” James said.

While James’ criticism of President Trump really isn’t new, the broader spectrum of James’ interview with Lemon centered on the opening of James’ “I Promise” school in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.

If you’re keeping score at home, the “I Promise” school is under the umbrella of James’ LeBron James Family Foundation and Akron Public Schools.

I’m curious…Does the “I Promise” school offer courses on manners?

Perhaps James and his cohorts in the city of Akron would consider giving our nation’s leader a scholarship to the school with the promise from the president that he takes a manners course.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, James’ “IPromise” school provides students with a ton of awesome perks that includes free tuition, free uniforms, free breakfast, lunch and snacks, free transportation within 2 miles, a free bicycle and helmet, access to a food pantry for their family, guaranteed tuition for all graduates to the University of Akron. Additionally, parents of students will receive access to job placement services and help acquiring their GEDs.
