When Diana Taurasi speaks, you listen!

In a recent interview with Landon Buford, the three-time WNBA champ shared her Mount Rushmore of WNBA players.

“I’ll take Lisa at the five. At the four, I’ll take Tina Thompson, no one has ever been as competitive as her. At the three I’ll take Swoopes. At the two I’ll take Cheryl Miller. At the one, I’ll take my girl Sue Bird.”

If you’re keeping score at home: Taurasi’s list: Lisa Leslie at the center position, Tina Thompson at power forward, Sheryl Swoopes at small forward, Cheryl Miller at the shooting guard, and fellow Husky alum Sue Bird at the point.

That’s high praise from Taurasi, the WNBA’s all-time leading scorer and the first WNBA player to net 1,000 three-pointers.
