Basketball Society will be providing Fantasy Basketball DFS recommendations for some of the lower priced players who should stand out. All of the prices are based off Draft Kings and we will be suggesting only players priced at $5500 or below.

Here are some of our suggestions today:

PG: Ish Smith ($4400)

Ish Smith has been playing starter minutes for the Pistons, but remains at a low price. He only has 3 turnovers on the year so far and has been slowly raising his points per game average. Look for that to continue tonight against the Cavaliers.

SG/SF: Gordon Hayward ($5500)

Gordon Hayward isn’t one of the players we are too confident in. He’s rarely been reaching 30 minutes per game and hasn’t put up the stats that make him worth a start. But, with the Thunder having played some pretty terrible defense to date, Hayward could have his chance to finally shine this season.

SF: Reggie Bullock ($4500)

Reggie Bullock has been scoring the ball well as of late. He had 16 and 17 points in his last two games respectively. While he hasn’t been shooting the ball too well, we expect him to continue to get more opportunities as he’s being trusted with more minutes.

PF/C: Tristan Thompson ($4800)

Tristan Thompson is a beast on the boards for the Cavs. Against the Nets last game he shot 1-10, but did happen to bring down 11 rebounds. As long as he can put up a better shooting number than that, he’s a fine add for your daily lineup.

C: Mason Plumlee ($3900)

This one we really are not too confident about, but that goes for all centers priced under $5500. Mason Plumlee has seen some solid run lately posting 11 points in 2 straight games. The problem for him is that the Nuggets are going against the Lakers who love to throw small lineups out there. That could mean a lot less minutes for Plumlee. Our suggestion would be to go for one of the star centers and use one of our other recommendations. If you absolutely need an low-priced center though, go with Mason.
