i-3Chris Douglas-Roberts will be sidelined for 1-2 weeks.

According to Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers, swingman Chris Douglas Roberts has a strained right Achilles, and is expected to be sidelined for one to two weeks.

Roberts took to Twitter to reveal details about the injury, and tell of his plans to rest until he is healthy.

Douglas-Roberts, the 40th overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, has appeared in four games this season for the Clippers. He was averaging 2.0 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. Douglas-Roberts had not played in Los Angeles’ last two games, and only played four minutes in his last outing on November 11th.

Doc Rivers had this to say about Douglas-Roberts’ injury:

I would say this: He has had the problem and didn’t really express it to the trainers from what I understand. It probably has affected him, but he’s new and he wanted to play and was going through that and didn’t want to say anything and it got to a point where it really started affected him and he really had to say something.

Chris Douglas-Roberts has played for the Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks, Dallas Mavericks and Charlotte Hornets in his career.
