This year has been quite the year for WNBA star, Candace Parker. After being snubbed from the USA Women’s national team, to being snubbed from the All-WNBA team, to losing her close friend, coach, and mentor Pat Summit, it has been quite the roller-coaster for Parker. But it ended on a high note as she knocked off a huge accomplishment off her bucket list.

The Los Angeles Sparks were able to overcome a tough battle against the Minnesota Lynx with a 77-76 victory. Candace’s 28 points and 12 rebounds were huge but the biggest moment of the night was the game winning fade-away from League MVP, Nneka Ogwumike.

It was an emotional night for the Sparks, including the Final’s MVP Candace Parker who was full of tears as she dedicated this night to the late great, Pat Summit.

The Lynx played a tough game. Maya Moore gave it all she had with 23 points, 11 assists, and 6 rebounds while Seimone Augustus also poured in 17 points as well. They just couldn’t pull it out in the end as their quest for a 4th championship in 5 years came to a halt.
