Only playing 47 minutes out of the 20 games he has been on the Milwaukee Bucks, most would think Kenyon Martin would be eventually released at some point of this season. He has averaged on 1.3 points on 33% from the field. He is playing behind the likes of John Henson and Zaza Pachulia. Martin has had a way more proven career than those two big men, but they are at better points in their careers than Martin.

On Tuesday, Marc Stein of ESPN reported this on the 15 year NBA veteran:

“The Milwaukee Bucks will sign former All-Star power forward Kenyon Martin to a rest-of-the-season contract this week, according to league sources. Sources told ESPN.com that Martin, who completes his second 10-day deal with the Bucks on Wednesday, has lent a welcome veteran touch to a young locker room since reuniting with first-year Milwaukee coach Jason Kidd, with whom he played in New Jersey.”

Veteran leadership is just what this Bucks team needs. On the verge of a playoff birth, Kenyon can give the young guns on this Bucks team just the mentor ship they to turn some heads this playoff season.
