Thomas RobinsonRobinson will enter free agency next summer.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Portland Trail Blazers have declined the fourth-year option of forward Thomas Robinson, which will allow Robinson to become an unrestricted free agent next summer.

Robinson’s fourth-year option was worth $4.6 million.

Robinson, 23, was selected by the Sacramento Kings with the 5th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, but has failed to find his niche in the NBA. Robinson was traded from Sacramento to Houston halfway through his rookie year, then was shipped from Houston to Portland as the Rockets looked to create cap space to sign Dwight Howard.

Thomas Robinson averaged 4.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game last year for the Trail Blazers.
