2018 Atlantic Files Year in Review Episodes: Nets | Sixers | Raptors

This week on the Atlantic Files Podcast, Alex Fischbein and Mike Bash are joined by Gregg Sussman of the FNTSY Sports Network. The Year in Review series takes another stop in New York to rehash the season that was for the New York Knicks.

Going into last season, the expectations were not high for the Knicks. The name of the game right now is to stay in the lottery and collect some assets until the Knicks are ready to compete. After Kristaps Porzingis got hurt, that is exactly what the team did, and Gregg said they met all expectations:

“Well, they met all expectations, right? I thought they were pretty terrible and their best player tore his ACL.”

Of course, this season was not anything new for Knicks fans. However, they do have some promising days to look forward to. Kevin Knox and Mitchell Robinson are cause for hope. The guys love their potential, and Mike, specifically, thinks they will reach some big heights:

“With Porzingis, Knox, and Robinson, Other than the Sixers, I think the Knicks can have one of the top frontcourts in the entire Eastern Conference.”

Going into the newest season with a brand new head coach, a pair of promising rookies, and some under the radar free agency pickups, the Knicks are now looking to continue to build off of their current pool of young talent. Who will stay, who will be traded, and who will be drafted? Listen in as the guys touch on all of those questions and all things Knicks.
