Admiral Schofield

School: Tennessee

Year: Senior

Height/Weight: 6’6, 241 lbs

Strengths:

Admiral Schofield is a beast. He’s one of the more physical players you will ever see in college basketball. His size enables him to defend multiple positions, he could realistically defend the 2-4 positions at the next level.

Schofield can defend both on the perimeter and in the post. It’s pretty evident how hard he is to move down there. But, surprisingly, his perimeter defense is where he is best.

Look at his feet. He’s constantly moving them and because of that, he’s not someone who you can easily get by whatsoever even given his stature. Along with his defense, comes an ever improving offensive game. He has a serviceable three point shot that we haven’t seen completely blossom yet. He has very real 3 and D potential at the next level, but that’s not even close to describing the full player he can become.

Weaknesses:

Admiral Schofield’s offensive game as a whole needs improvement. As mentioned, he has a serviceable shot, but he’s not close to a complete offensive player yet. He doesn’t make enough drives to the basket. That has a lot to do with a lack of ball-handling skills. We need to see that change because that is one of his biggest things holding him back to becoming an elite college ball player.

We really love his activity on defense so there aren’t many weaknesses on that end, but the one we will bring up is the fact that he’s not the tallest. At 6’6, it will be tough for him to guard 4s at the next level.

Future Outlook:

An easy comparison for Admiral Schofield is Semi Ojeleye. Physical, solid, but not polished, offensive game, and crazy athleticism. Schofield can carve out a path to the NBA, we are certain of that. This year, we are looking for him to show that he can consistently hit that three point shot and start to show some promise with putting the ball down and attacking the rim. If he can do that, he’s an easy selection, probably in the mid 2nd round range.
