This comes as a bit of a surprise since all contracts become guaranteed at 5 o’clock today and Sixers GM Sam Hinkie is normally unloading players instead of receiving them. Although, the next series of tweets from Woj cleared up the whole situation.
Philadelphia is unlikely to keep Cunningham, who was about to be waived with Clippers until they found a deal today, sources tell Yahoo.

So, all in all, the Clippers are just unloading Cunningham on the Sixers and that’s pretty much everything there is to say. He could have been an exciting piece to watch in Philadelphia alongside Carter-Williams and Tony Wroten, but it seems that won’t be a spectacle anyone will be able to watch.
