Kevin Durant is healthy, and the Thunder are back.

Superstars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, the best duo in the NBA, are together again. New head coach Billy Donovan was welcomed to the NBA with a fantastic team.

The Thunder finally put together a team to surround these superstars. Enes Kanter was solid at center last season, and Serge Ibaka has been forceful for years now with the Thunder. With Kyle Singler, Dion Waiters, DJ Augustin, and Steven Adams off the bench, the Thunder have depth.

The Thunder have sights on the NBA Finals, and Kevin Durant is ready for LeBron “King” James. The Thunder are back.

What can fans look forward to?

Fans can look forward to a full season with a healthy Kevin Durant. Durant injured his foot last season, and the Thunder struggled because of it. To try and make the playoffs, the Thunder added Enes Kanter, Dion Waiters, Kyle Singler, and DJ Augustin. They failed to make the playoffs, but with these role players back and the Thunder’s big-3, the Thunder have the depth to challenge the Warriors for Western Conference superiority. Durant is a franchise difference maker. The Thunder will contend, and give Durant reason re-sign.

Projected starting lineup:

  • PG- Russell Westbrook
  • SG- Andre Roberson
  • SF- Kevin Durant
  • PF- Serge Ibaka
  • C- Enes Kanter

Who can emerge as a star?

Kevin Durant is and will emerge as a star. Durant is entering a contract season expecting a new contract north of $140 million next offseason. If he wants the big money, he is going to have to play like a superstar. Expect Durant to start out firing on all cylinders.

The Thunder have two stars in Durant and Russell Westbrook. Westbrook needs to let Durant be the star of the team. Russell Westbrook is still going to perform, but Durant has to take most of the shots. Westbrook has been known to never let the ball out of his hands. Kevin Durant believes he is the best player in the world, and he is ready to prove it.

What will be their final record?

59-23
